Close up of hands in a group therapy session

People either love the idea of group therapy or entertain it with hesitation, but it can be highly beneficial.

Group therapy provides a supportive environment where group members can share their experiences and learn from others facing similar challenges.

This shared space of fosters a sense of belonging and reduces feelings of isolation, as group members realize they are not alone in their struggles.

The Group Therapy Process

In group therapy, we focus on promoting self-awareness, personal growth, and meaningful connections among group members, ultimately fostering profound therapeutic change.

Within the group session we focus on the “Here-and-now,” which means instead of talking about past events or future worries, the therapist and group members pay close attention to their current thoughts, feelings, and interactions.

This approach helps group members become more aware of their immediate experiences and how they relate to others in the group.

Groups Offered

  • Dad’s group
  • Amateur athlete group
